To ensure that your IMPRESSA or ENA produces top-quality coffee and functions correctly, the machine should be cleaned and maintained on a daily basis. You should proceed as follows:
The cleaning programme of your IMPRESSA XS 95 One Touch can be started at any time in two ways:
COFFEE READY / CLEAN MACHINE is displayed. Press the Maintenance button. DURATION 20 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Press the Maintenance button. Now follow the instructions on the display.
COFFEE READY is displayed. Press and hold the Rotary Switch until RINSE appears. Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. CLEAN CAPPUCCINO appears on the display. Turn the Rotary Switch until CLEAN MACHINE is displayed. Press the Rotary Switch again. DURATION 20 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Press the Maintenance button. Now follow the instructions on the display.
CAUTION: If the descaling operation is interrupted, there may be damage to the machine and residue in the water. Allow the descaling programme to run to the end.
The descaling programme of your IMPRESSA XS 95 One Touch can be started at any time in two ways:
Precondition: COFFEE READY / DECALCIFY MACHINE is displayed. Press the Maintenance button. DURATION 45 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Press the Maintenance button. Now follow the instructions on the display.
Precondition: COFFEE READY is displayed and the filter is not activated. Press and hold the Rotary Switch until RINSE appears. Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. CLEAN CAPPUCCINO appears on the display. Turn the Rotary Switch until DECALCIFY MACHINE is displayed. Press the Rotary Switch again. DURATION 45 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Press the Maintenance button. Now follow the instructions on the display.
If DECALCS remains displayed for a long time, this means the descaling programme was started with too much liquid or water was replenished before the tank was empty.
If DECALCIFY MACHINE is displayed even though the CLARIS filter cartridge is inserted, this means the filter was not activated in programming mode.
The filter change programme of your IMPRESSA XS 95 One Touch can be started at any time in two ways:
Precondition: COFFEE READY / CHANGE FILTER is displayed. Press the Maintenance button. DURATION 2 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Press the Maintenance button. Insert a new filter and pour fresh water into the water tank. Press the Maintenance button again. The filter is now rinsed.
Precondition: COFFEE READY is displayed. Press and hold the Rotary Switch until RINSE appears. Press the Rotary Switch to enter the programme item. CLEAN CAPPUCCINO appears on the display. Turn the Rotary Switch until CHANGE FILTER is displayed. Press the Rotary Switch. DURATION 2 MIN. / START YES appears on the display. Press the Maintenance button. Insert a new filter and pour fresh water into the water tank. Press the Maintenance button again. The filter is now rinsed.

Is your coffee not hot enough? There are two common reasons why the coffee might not be hot enough:
If the milk is not frothed, this means the Professional Cappuccino Frother / Professional fine foam frother is blocked. Remove the frother and clean it thoroughly.
DECALCIFY MACHINE is displayed despite the CLARIS filter cartridge being used.
MACHINE IS DECALCIFYING is displayed for a long time.
To ensure that your machine provides satisfaction for a long time and to avoid repairs, please note that the grinder on your JURA coffee machine is not suitable for coffee beans that have been treated with additives (e. g. sugar) during or after roasting.
Use of such coffee mixtures can result in damage to the grinder. Any repair costs incurred as a result are not covered by the warranty provisions.
